4th quarter this Thursday April 8th, when students return to school!
Wake County Public Schools is replacing current health screening protocols that are no longer required by the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services.
Staff will not ask the health screening questions or check temperatures when students come on campus. This is now the personal responsibility of families and staff prior to coming to school.
While the district will no longer require on-site health screenings, it is still critical for everyone to screen themselves at home before coming to school or work. In order to limit the spread of COVID-19 and other illnesses, you/your child, must stay home if you are diagnosed with COVID-19, exposed to COVID-19, or are experiencing a symptom of illness. Help us keep our students, staff and families healthy. Please do not come to school and know you will be asked to leave immediately if you learn that you have been diagnosed with COVID-19, have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, or are experiencing any of the following symptoms:
Sick or experiencing symptoms of illness
100.4° fever or higher
Sore throat
New cough
New shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
New loss of taste or smell
Diarrhea or vomiting
New severe headache
We must all do our part to keep our community healthy.
We will continue to follow health protocols such as maintaining 3-foot social distancing and eating while facing in the same direction in the cafe or classroom (students refrain from talking until they are finished eating and masks are back on). The extensive cleaning and disinfecting guidelines will be followed daily.
Thank you so much for your support!
